PAST UPDATES
August 22, 2011
Dear Kiwanians, Key Clubbers, friends and prospective Kiwanians, and RE/MAX Trinity Agents:
I hope school went well for all the Teachers and Key Clubbers. Don’t forget this Wednesday at 7AM, we will be having Donna Smith come and tell us about her seven day Bicycle Ride across Iowa. She has two grown children so she made a special effort and trained for several months for this big event. She did suffer a mishap near the end so come hear about it and she will also probably mention the Ride for Hero’s in Aledo she is heavily involved in. Should be very interesting.
If you got multiple or duplicate emails from me last week, I apologize. I thought it went out fine but it was still in my outbox and I tried to clear that and you may have gotten duplicate or multiple copies of it. We have some other great programs coming up as mentioned in that email so you might read it again and forward it to friends. And invite someone. I will probably send this email to our RE/MAX Trinity Agents too as they may want to come out and support Donna.
We had two successful packet pick ups for our Bike Ride Sat & Sunday. Thanks to those who helped.
Next week in addition to the final Preparation for our ride we may have the Director of Fort Worth Municipal Courts come tell us about their new facility in the old Southwest Bank Building and the next Wednesday the first Wednesday of the month September 7th we will meet at Noon and we will have Howard Miller come and tell us about his recent climb up Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.
See you Wednesday.

August 3, 2011 will be our Second Noon Meeting. Invite even more folks to this one and if people can’t make our Breakfast Meetings maybe they would be interested in the Noon meetings. This month we will have local artist Nancy Ann Beaulac talk about “Carving the Saints” She comes to us from a devout Catholic Background. It should be very interesting.
The Cowtown Bicycle Ride Applications are now available and keep looking for some last minute sponsors of $100 to $500 Variety.

Tickets are $5 each and most of that goes to the Children’s Miracle Network. John Nagely and RE/MAX Trinity will pick up the bill for the tail gating party that will start at 5PM with Hot Dogs, Beer, and Soft Drinks. Look for the RE/MAX Balloon and Tents just North of the Stadium. You might want to bring your own lawn chairs. Parking is $5/vehicle so you may also want to Carpool as well. This is a fun event RE/MAX has been doing this for at least 5 years. Please let John Nagely know how many tickets you want asap but no later than July 13th. The RE/MAX Sky Divers bring in the first ball around 7PM and a Full Size Hot Air Balloon will be in the outfield Weather (Wind) Permitting. Cat’s games are fun and Family Oriented. There are things for the Children to do. If you would rather just Party and not go in to see the game you wouldn’t need a game ticket, but I need a reservation for food and drinks, but the Ticket is a donation to Children’s Miracle Network. Call if you have questions?
